Vacationing is a really great activity especially after a long period of working so hard to achieve something in life. Taking a vacation with your loved ones is always the best of them all. Family vacations are really interesting and since the whole family has been so busy working up and about to get things a few days or weeks together in Cuba will prove to be a more than memorable experience. If you want a superb family vacation, Cuba is the place to go. Cuba lies midway between the Caribbean and North Atlantic Ocean. It is the largest of the Caribbean islands and at any given time of the year, thousands of tourists stream through its ports.
Where to visit in Cuba
Cuba is a really large island with so many things to be spotted. To make your searching troubles less, the top five vacationing spots on the island include Havana, Varadero, Cayo Largo, Guardalavaca, and Cayo Coco.
1- HavanaÂ
Havana is the capital of the Republic of Cuba. You would think that capital cities have nothing of interest to show but when you get to tour Havana you will be more than awed. The city packs in it some of the finest architectural masterpieces. The Capitol Building in Havana is one of the best places to go take several family photographs. The El Malecon is just but one of the places you will love to visit. This sea wall is very popular with tourists who love to take a stroll while admiring the beauty of the waters. (Image by frasse21)
2- VaraderoÂ
Varadero is home to a host of private hotels, lovely golf course and boasts of gorgeous beaches and superbly beautiful warm waters. Crystal clear is not a phrase that can begin to describe the waters of Varadero. If you love basking in the sun, Varadero is one of the many places in Cuba where you can do so. Visit Parque Josone (your kids will love this place) and Delfinario where you can watch and actually swim with dolphins.
3- Cayo LargoÂ
Very much similar to Varadero, Cayo Largo is a place where the turquoise waters bewitch all who lay eyes upon them. The calmness of the waters in this part of Cuba can be unnerving sometimes. Scuba diving is one of the most interesting activities to do here, while you are not building sand castles.
4- GuardalavacaÂ
If you are looking for a vacation where you can laze around all day then Cuba is not the place for you. Make sure that you bring your curiosity (and camera) with you. Guardalavaca is a prominent travel destination in eastern Cuba. Playa Guardalavaca is the main public beach here and it is impossibly beautiful. 5- Cayo Coco
Like all other beaches in Cuba, Cayo Coco boasts of warm crystal-clear azure-blue waters and pristine white sands and hundreds of activities to engage in. If you do not prefer to go into the water scuba diving, perhaps you will enjoy kite surfing. Cayo Coco is the best place for kite surfing as well as for scuba diving.
The above are just some of the best places for your family holiday in Cuba. There are many more. Going alone will be fine- you will have peace of mind. Going with family will not only provide a chance to relax but also for bonding as you enjoy the warm weather of Cuba and their insanely delicious cuisine. While you are at Cayo Coco, make a point of trying out the lobster- you will always salivate when you think of it.
